2. Where should I go on the day of the event?
On the day of the event, you should go to the Edcamp Online Lobby at https://unhangout.media.mit.edu/event/edcamp-online
3. How do I propose a session?
Don't worry, we'll guide you through that on the day of the event. We're planning to try a system that uses a Google Spreadsheet and a little luck!
4. I've never done a Google Hangout before. What should I prepare?
If you've never done a Google Hangout before, it's best to make sure you're signed up and do a test run before the day of the event. This will help to ensure that you don't have problems during Edcamp Online. Use the checklist below for extra information.
Don't be nervous. Running a session at an Edcamp is half the fun! The person who facilitates the session is only responsible for asking the first question. The rest of the group is responsible for engaging in an interactive dialogue to make all the learning magic happen!

- Make sure you have a GMAIL account that you are signed into before you enter the Edcamp Online Lobby on the day of the event. (No GMAIL account? Click HERE to make a free one!)
- On the day of the event, make sure the computer you plan to use has a camera and microphone. (Most laptops and tablets come with these tools as a standard.)
- Test out Google Hangouts before the day of the event. There is a plug in that you’ll need to install if you’ve never used Google Hangouts before. You can learn more about hangouts and download the free plug in here.
- You may want to add your name to the screen using “Lower Third.” Watch this video for tips and here is A FILE that you can use to add the Edcamp Online logo to your name.
